Democracia U.S.A. Announces New Hispanic Voter Figures in Key Contested States
Survey also to be presented on top leaders and issues to Hispanic voters

MIAMI, Oct. 10 /PRNewswir-USNewswire/ -- Democracia U.S.A. (D-USA), a
national non-partisan Hispanic voter registration and civic engagement
organization, will host a press conference at Hofstra University's Cultural
Center, Leo A. Guthart Cultural Center Theater, North Campus, on Wednesday,
October 15 at 11:00 a.m. to release its new Hispanic voter registration
figures and show how the Hispanic electorate has changed in each of the states
in which it operates. D-USA has been registering voters in Arizona, Colorado,
Florida, Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Texas. D-USA will also present
a survey it commissioned identifying the most influential leaders to Hispanic
voters and the issues that most matter to them heading into this election.
The survey will highlight notable Latino figures from the fields of news,
entertainment, politics, community, and sports.
Why: With approximately 10 million Hispanics registered to vote - and
poised to make a difference in key battleground states - the Latino electorate
is slated to play a decisive swing vote in this historic presidential
election. D-USA will announce its successful voter registration results for
2008 and show how the electorate has changed in each state where it operates.
It will also present a survey identifying the most influential leaders and
issues important to Hispanic voters.
