Taking data storage, scalability and application performance to a nifty level using SOA Application Grid infrastructure will no doubt enhance data and application performance on Oracle architecture platforms, it also has the promise of a cost effective and efficient IT delivery model. The very benefits of SOA.

I just read SYS-CON's response to the recent attacks in Fuat Kircaali's Social Media Terrorists blog entry. I realized the email quoted at the end of Kircaali's blog was also copied to Ted Weissman of Lois Paul & Partners, a public relations firm with clients in technology. If this email was sen...

Flat is Not Where It's At: Define Your Body With Hi-Def

DALLAS and PLANO, Texas, Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Most artists or professional photographers would agree that real interest is created not by one or two-dimensional subjects, but by the light and shadow playing upon the hills and valleys of the human form as the eye glides along them. For many, however, the 3-D, 'cut' look of 'six-pack' abs or a shapelier derriere is nearly impossible to achieve or maintain, because of the tendency to lose too much bulk in one area while attempting to tone another.

Recent leaps in medical technology and improved understanding of the physiology of the skin and underlying structures have given us two high-tech procedures that are revolutionizing cosmetic surgery: SmartLipo(TM) laser body sculpting (laser-assisted lipolysis) and VASER(R) Lipo (selective ultrasound fat melting). SmartLipo(TM) Body Sculpting, used throughout Europe prior to U.S. FDA approval in 2006 is now gaining fame in the U.S. for its ability to permanently destroy pockets of unwanted body fat while simultaneously heat-stimulating the skin's collagen layer, by use of a long, very thin YAG laser threaded through tiny portals created in the skin's surface. By also employing VASER(R) Lipo's ultrasound fat melting capabilities in the same procedure, the cosmetic surgeon is able to treat larger body areas (and larger patients), safely working in direct proximity to muscle and areas of high vascularity, which are unharmed by ultrasound wavelengths that specifically only target fat cells. VASER(R) Lipo's ultrasound technology is first used to selectively melt away larger areas of unwanted body fat; SmartLipo(TM) can then be effectively utilized as a 'finishing tool', for working in smaller, tighter areas, and to stimulate collagen to gradually re-form tighter and smoother in the treated areas over the next four-to-six months.

Jeffrey Adelglass, M.D., F.A.C.S., Director of Surgery at SKINTASTIC(TM) Medical and Surgical Rejuvenation Center in Plano, a northern suburb of Dallas/Fort Worth, is the first cosmetic surgeon in Texas to combine SmartLipo(TM) laser technology with VASER(R) Lipo and incorporate specialized high-definition surgical techniques. Dr. Adelglass emphasizes that the difference between SKINTASTIC's Hi-Def LipoSculpture results and those of other popular body-sculpting techniques are, "the difference between night and day. Where our ultimate goal was once to achieve a board-flat abdomen, we now are able to create a much more desired 'chiseled' effect." Dr. Adelglass and his surgical staff have received specialized in-depth surgical training under the direct guidance of a pioneer of the VASER(R) Hi Def(TM) LipoSculpture technique. Dr. Adelglass has taken what he learned one step further by adding SmartLipo(TM) finishing.

Six-Pack Abs Without the Workout:

"What Hi-Def achieves is selectively removing fat in a way that accentuates the natural underlying musculature," says Dr. Adelglass. "While it's certainly easy to make someone who is in relatively good shape to look shapelier, we can do a lot to help the average Joe or Jane to achieve a more chiseled or 'curvaceous' look, and to visually re-balance disproportionate body areas." Dr. Adelglass offers his body-sculpting patients a complimentary consultation with SKINTASTIC's medical nutritionist to develop a plan for proper nutrition and exercise, to help them maintain their new, sculpted physique.

Experience counts. Dr. Adelglass is an official training instructor for SmartLipo(TM) laser body sculpting, the DOT Fractional CO2 skin resurfacing laser, ArteFill(R) non-resorbable, and Juvederm(R) fillers. Dr. Adelglass was the first Texas physician to recently achieve simultaneous Diamond pinnacle-level status as a Botox(R) injector and Triple-Platinum status with Medicis, the makers of Restylane(R) and Perlane(R) injectable H.A. fillers. Dr. Adelglass is a member of the Star Program -- a select group of cosmetic physicians specially-trained to work with new Evolence(R) collagen filler, and is an exclusive Black Card member of Radiesse(R) physician injectors. He serves on the scientific advisory boards of most, if not all U.S. dermal filler companies, and on the National Education Foundation for Allergan, instructing other cosmetic physicians to safely administer Botox(R) using his well-honed injection techniques. With his level of experience, it's no wonder that many of the representatives of these companies, with all their available options, select Dr. Adelglass as their own cosmetic physician of choice.

SKINTASTIC(TM) Medical and Surgical Rejuvenation Center is located at 6020 W. Parker Road, Suite 400 in the Presbyterian Plano Center for Diagnostics and Surgery, in Plano, Texas. If you would like to receive more information about Hi-Def (High Definition) LipoSculpture (also known as 3-D Lipo) at SKINTASTIC(TM), or would like to schedule a complimentary evaluation to find out whether you are a good candidate for this revolutionary cosmetic procedure, contact Pamela Fox, Director of Communications at SKINTASTIC(TM): (972) 620-3223, or email: skintastic @ skintastic.com.
