CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- On Tuesday, November 18 Tree.com CFO Matt Packey will find himself in an orange jump suit locked up in an area "jail" to help raise money for Jerry's Kids(R) and the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). The Muscular Dystrophy Association is a voluntary health agency and a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering neuromuscular diseases that affect more than a million Americans.

Tree.com and Mr. Packey were tapped as community leaders in the effort to raise money for the MDA. Mr. Packey is hoping to spend as little time as possible in jail, set up at the Ballantyne Village Theater. "I've challenged my co-workers, friends and family members to help me get out of jail through their donations. What I'm afraid of is they'll donate money but negotiate a deal to leave me in there," he laughs. "My goal is to raise $3,000 but I'd love to contribute as much money as possible to this great cause."

MDA combats neuromuscular diseases through programs of worldwide research, comprehensive medical and community services, and far-reaching professional and public health education.
