Speaker Bio:
Charles Brown serves as director and program manager in Intel’s Digital Enterprise Group. In this role, Dr. Brown oversees the Dynamic Virtual Client program and associated research and planning of application streaming and client virtualization technology. His work guides new research and product planning for Intel’s business client and server computing platforms.
Prior to his present position, he has held various business management positions at Intel. Dr. Brown was director strategic planning within Intel’s Mobile Platform Group. He managed the world-wide business development and key customer relationships for Intel’s Handheld, Flash memory, and programmable logic product lines.
Prior to Intel, Dr. Brown worked for IBM in development, sales and system engineering management roles. He has contributed to several business transformation programs for major IT enterprise and telecommunications customers, consulting on topics ranging from data center consolidation to operational implementation.

About the Speaker:
Dr. Werner Vogels is Vice President & Chief Technology Officer at Amazon.com where he is responsible for driving the company's technology vision. Prior to joining Amazon, he worked as a research scientist at Cornell University where he was a principal investigator in several research projects that target the scalability and robustness of mission-critical enterprise computing systems.
Vogels holds a Ph.D. from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam and has authored close to 80 articles for journals and conferences, most of them on distributed systems technologies for enterprise computing.
