Salesforce.com customers can now deploy HearMe directly within Salesforce CRM for Desktop Video Conferencing

NEW YORK, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- HearMe, a leading provider of web-based, desktop video conferencing and online collaboration solutions, today announced the availability of HearMe for salesforce.com's Force.com AppExchange. The integration turns HearMe into an excellent choice in video conferencing for Salesforce CRM, allowing users to quickly connect with co-workers and customers via video conferencing in real time. Built using the Force.com platform, HearMe is immediately available for test drive and deployment on the Force.com AppExchange at http://www.salesforce.com/appexchange/detail_overview.jsp?id=a0330000005mQc6AAE.

With this integration, Salesforce CRM users will be able to:

  • Schedule and launch desktop video conferences directly from the Salesforce CRM user interface
  • Share pre-recorded video in real time as part of the meeting
  • View each other and interact in real-time through voice, video and chat in rooms with up to 2,000 participants simultaneously
  • Share documents and desktop applications with other room participants

"As businesses have looked for ways to cut costs, whether by enabling a virtual work force, or eliminating the need to travel, desktop video conferencing has come to the forefront," said Hannah Rothman, Senior Marketing Director for HearMe. "HearMe's solution has a feature set that allows businesses to connect in real-time to employees and customers alike, while offering a low cost, flexible collaboration solution."

HearMe's web-based video conferencing system empowers small businesses, distance educators and mobile work forces to conduct meetings in real time at an affordable price. The solution provides video/audio conferencing, desktop and application sharing within a user-friendly interface. HearMe meeting rooms are entirely browser based, thus protecting users while eliminating the need to download software commonly found among competitors. HearMe also reduces teleconferencing costs by providing full duplex VoIP capabilities. HearMe's patented multicasting technology allows an unlimited number of users to actively participate in a meeting via voice, video and text chat.

"Thousands of customers are using the Force.com AppExchange to extend the benefits of SaaS applications throughout their enterprises," said Clarence So, Chief Marketing Officer, salesforce.com. "Bringing together HearMe and Salesforce CRM allows our users to collaborate with video, in real time, both within their organizations and with their customers."
