Power Station Adds Operations & Technology Executive

ORANGE, Calif., Nov. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Power Station, LLC announces that it has appointed William (Bill) E. Mapp III to the post of Vice President, Operations, overseeing the development, design, operation, and improvement of the systems that create and deliver the company's products and services.

Mr. Mapp brings a wealth of significant and poignant experience to Power Station. He served Continental Airlines as its Worldwide Director for development and operations GM for the award-winning Internet self-service channel. Mr. Mapp later served at IBM as an eBusiness Principal, where he headed the effort that resulted in the $3.8 billion alliance between IBM and AOL for their combined Self Service eBiz commerce lines. Bill has also held executive level positions with other top global companies such as: Electronic Data Systems (Worldwide Marketing Director for Internet and Media) where he led substantial efforts as diverse as creating the world's first website and live Internet broadcasts on the bottom of the ocean floor (for famous oceanographer Bob Ballard, discoverer of the Titanic); to Texas Instruments (Manager, New Business Development) for the multi-billion Defense Group; to Siemens company (Product Development and Marketing Manager) leading development and marketing on an award-winning video self-service kiosk for the U.S. Postal Service, winning best of show at Ziff Institute's "Interactive '93" in San Jose. Bill was a 1996 winner of the Global Information Infrastructure Award, which was awarded by the Clinton/Gore Administration in New York City to honor technology's greatest innovators. Bill earned his BS Computer Science and his MBA in Management and Finance from the University of Texas (Odessa), and his Executive MBA in Marketing from Southern Methodist University (Dallas).
