Search News Desk CNET Posts 24 Percent Increase in Unique Users Following CNET Redesign Announced in August
Shift to open architecture creates CNET platform that drives traffic

CNET has reported a 24 percent increase in unique users year-over-year (CNET Internal Log Data, October 2007 vs. October 2008). The traffic increase comes two months after the launch of the CNET redesign, a complete evolution of the website that spanned everything from its logo, design, and navigation to the delivery of product reviews, tech news, and original video programming. The increase highlights the impact of the site's new "open in and open out" architecture, which makes it easier for CNET to export its content to all corners of the web, as well as import content from vendors and competitive news and review sites.
