Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud. We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

In many cases, the end of the year gives you time to step back and take stock of the last 12 months. This is when many of us take a hard look at what worked and what did not, complete performance reviews, and formulate plans for the coming year. For me, it is all of those things plus a time when I u...

PacketTrap Networks Signs More than 30 Distribution Agreements in One Month
PacketTrap Networks Signs 30+ Distribution Agreements

PacketTrap Networks (www.PacketTrap.com), a leading provider of network management software, today announced that it has signed more than 30 distribution agreements since launching its Partner Program earlier this month. The PacketTrap Partner Program (PPP) is directed at value-added resellers, IT consultants, system integrators and network administrators that service organizations with up to 50,000 devices.

The rapid growth of the number of partners participating in the PPP has been driven by demand for the Company's network troubleshooting, diagnostic, remediation and monitoring technology. Further, partners are attracted to the recurring revenue, high profit margin and extensive sell-through support capabilities that are part of the PPP. Finally, a confluence of events, including the proliferation of disruptive technologies such as virtualization and VoIP, increasing amounts of data traversing the network, and IT budget cuts has highlighted the inherent weaknesses of legacy network management systems and has led IT professionals to search for better alternatives.

“One of the most interesting attributes of PacketTrap for us is its scalable platform, which can handle the new technologies that our customers are implementing now and in the future,” said Hillel Sackstein, President of Virtual Graffiti. “We offer a variety of technology solutions from Cisco to BlueCoat and believe PacketTrap Perspective is the best way to manage the networks we put together.”

“Perspective is an excellent product with a great price point that delivers a lot of value,” said Blair Zingle, COO for Optrics Engineering. “We were most impressed by its performance baseline and automated remediation capabilities, which eliminate false-positive alerts and the manual tasks that IT administrators spend so much time chasing.”

“We are delighted to be working with such a stellar list of partners who are clearly visionaries and leaders in their field,” said Steve Goodman, Chief Executive Officer of PacketTrap. “We expect that our easy to use, comprehensive network management solution will contribute significantly to our partners' bottom line while fully serving their customers' needs.”

PacketTrap Perspective leverages an intuitive dashboard interface that enables network engineers to easily and proactively protect their networks against bandwidth clogging, VoIP problems and more. The software utilizes a next-generation platform that provides the most comprehensive monitoring and remediation capabilities in the industry.
