Webtide, the main developer of leading open source Java web container Jetty, and Terracotta, a leader in infrastructure software for enterprise Java scalability, today announced a partnership agreement whereby Webtide will maintain the Jetty integration with Terracotta’s clustering solution for Java applications and distribute the integrated solution with the Jetty application server itself to provide a simpler deployment process for end users. The partnership links two rapidly growing Java development communities more closely and provides customers with an integrated, continuously tested solution to seamlessly scale Jetty-based web applications more easily.

To ensure the simplest deployment possible, the Terracotta Integration Module (TIM) for Jetty is now available for automated download and installation into Jetty environments through Terracotta’s TIM Update Center.
