WMS Gaming Inc., a subsidiary of WMS Industries Inc. (NYSE:WMS), will demonstrate its newest innovative products for international customers, including the best of Orion Gaming’s games and platforms and Systems in Progress’ (SiP) bonusing technologies, at the International Gaming Expo (IGE) 2009 (Earls Court 2: Booth #3060) in London, January 27-29. All of the WMS products displayed at IGE were developed through the Company’s Player Driven Innovation approach to game design. With over 100 products being demonstrated at IGE 2009, WMS will showcase the largest number of games in its history for international markets as it continues to leverage its player appealing content and platform design into products that will expand the company’s global market penetration.

Product Highlights

  • 65 WMS games including 28 titles on the new fully digital, HD Bluebird®2 platform, as WMS brings networked gaming compatibility to international markets
  • 37 Orion Gaming products including Game Pack™, a multi-game offering, and Orion’s first network-enabled gaming products such as its new Group Wins™ game that features communal game experience with networked gaming technology
  • The Twinstar II gaming cabinet featuring the N-Able platform from Orion Gaming

“Since acquiring Orion Gaming in 2006 and SiP in 2007, we have accelerated our development of game content and technology platform offerings for international markets, furthering our position as a leading global provider of gaming products,” said Brian R. Gamache, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of WMS. “Today, our international product sales are a larger component of our annual unit shipments than at any time in our history. Our ability to offer new games simultaneously in markets spanning the globe coupled with the enhanced entertainment value and product functionality of our new Orion and SiP products are important factors contributing to our increased international success. With the exciting array of new products debuting at IGE 2009, we are confident we will continue to expand our international market share.”

Orion Gaming will showcase 23 titles at IGE 2009 on the new Twinstar II gaming machine driven by the powerful N-Able operating platform. The new Twinstar II is precision designed with sleek curves and stainless steel surfaces combining an elegant look with superb functionality. The Twinstar II features ergonomically positioned dual 19-inch screens, a LED-illuminated top box marquee that is 25 percent larger and a subtly illuminated lower door and coin tray. In addition, Twinstar II is driven by the powerful N-Able platform which offers industry leading stability, reliability and entertainment enhancing features. Twinstar II also features full SAS compatibility, full support for ticket in/ticket out and AFT cashless functionality, fast game conversion capability and user-friendly configuration menus.

Gamache commented, “The Twinstar II gaming cabinet and N-Able platform advance Orion Gaming’s product capabilities to new levels of player entertainment and operator functionality through utilization of leading networked gaming technology. This is an important step forward in our ability to further increase our global footprint as we now offer significantly more variety of games and features for our international customers and their players. With a total of 37 products from Orion featured at IGE 2009, this will be the biggest showing of Orion games in their history.”

New products featured in the Orion Gaming Twinstar II cabinet on display at IGE 2009 include:

  • Game Pack – The Game Pack product is Orion Gaming’s first multi-game offering, holding five new Orion N-Able games in one machine for more variety and greater player satisfaction. Game Pack offers players an option to select from a variety of games and allows them to change games by simply pressing the “Change Game” button at the bottom of the screen. Four game sets will be on display, each offering a different variety of successful games from Orion’s Deluxe, LinePlus™ and AnyWay™ series. The Game Pack offerings on display at IGE 2009 will also include a SiP linked progressive that enables linked Mystery Progressive functionality on a multi-game, as well as the TwinHit™ Dual-level Standalone Progressive (DSAP) functionality made possible by the new N-Able technology. DSAP features two progressive meters at the top of the multi-game.
  • Group Wins – Orion will premiere its first communal game, Treasures of the World™. When triggered, every eligible player on the bank of gaming machines is brought into an exciting bonus adventure, led by the game’s interactive female host named Sapphire, with one lucky player controlling all the action. Bonus rounds incorporate the popular interactive picking bonus feature, through which selected items build upon themselves with each spin, creating more opportunities to win.
  • LinePlus / AnyWay series – Four new titles for the LinePlus series will debut on the Twinstar II cabinet. Line Plus games feature 50-line play that is designed to provide volatility in popular low-denomination play. Also debuting will be two new titles for the AnyWay series of games which have players purchase reels instead of lines. When all the reels are played, the players have over 200 ways to win through scatter pay combinations. The new titles for the LinePlus and AnyWay series of games are also available with the TwinHit Dual-level Standalone Progressive.
  • PokerPack offering – Players can select their favorite poker theme with Orion’s Multipoker line of games, PokerPack, which offers the classic poker themes die-hard players enjoy. PokerPack features six great games including Jacks or Better, Magic Poker, Extra Poker, Hot 2 Poker, Extra Extra Poker and Club Poker.
  • Glamour Cash™ - The first networked gaming product from Orion Gaming debuted at last year’s international trade show and new games this year take the entertainment experience to a whole new level. Eight titles will be on display at IGE 2009. Glamour Cash is a 5-level local-area mystery progressive offering that enriches the player experience with prizes that can transport them to a whole new world of glamour. The Glamour Cash mystery progressive is randomly triggered and the rewarded level prize (diamond, ruby, emerald, sapphire or amethyst) is awarded based on the sum of numbers that appear on each reel.

Beyond the Orion Gaming and SiP products debuting at IGE 2009, WMS will also feature many of the unique products that recently generated strong industry buzz and excitement at the 2008 Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas. In total, 65 WMS titles will be featured at IGE 2009 including games on three of the Company’s highly successful and revolutionary technology platforms - Transmissive Reels® Gaming, Community Gaming and Sensory Immersion Gaming. In addition, WMS will debut its new HD, fully digital Bluebird2 gaming cabinet for international markets at the show.

Among the WMS games being featured are THE WIZARD OF OZ™ – Glinda the Good Witch™ and THE WIZARD OF OZ – Wicked Riches™ on the Transmissive Reels platform, TIME MACHINE™ and DIRTY HARRY®2 on the Sensory Immersion platform and two Reel Em In® Compete to Win™ games and Big Event® Poker on the Community Gaming platform.

Also, a total of 17 three or five reel Transmissive Reels games will be at IGE 2009 alongside new games for WMS’ G+® Series, Innovation Series, I-Play™ and Classic series of video reel games and the recently introduced Jackpot Party® Keno, Multi-game Keno product.

Gamache added, “WMS has made a strong commitment to provide casino operators and their players in gaming jurisdictions around the world with leading content and technology, and the fruits of these efforts will be on display at IGE 2009. With our product previews at IGE next week, WMS will again demonstrate it is furthering its industry leadership position through developing entertaining games and revenue enhancing product solutions that appeal to players worldwide.”
