Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud. We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

In many cases, the end of the year gives you time to step back and take stock of the last 12 months. This is when many of us take a hard look at what worked and what did not, complete performance reviews, and formulate plans for the coming year. Joe Simon reveals the 'Secret Origins of the Comic Book World'!

Clay Enos and Dave Gibbons discuss the visual highs of Watchmen!

NEW YORK, Jan. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Living comics legend Joe Simon will attend the New York ComicCon as Titan Books hosts him in their first year as exhibitors. Balancing Golden Age classics with Modern, Titan also presents 'Watchmen: Portrait of a Film' with an appearance by star New York photographer Clay Enos.

Following the recent announcement of Titan's plans to publish The Official Simon and Kirby Library, launching this May with a deluxe compendium of the duo's work entitled The Best of Simon and Kirby, Simon will be the subject of a special Spotlight panel, 'Secret Origins of the Comic Book World' [Saturday, Feb. 7, 4-5pm]. Simon's audience will be treated to jaw-dropping anecdotes from the Golden Era of American comics, revealing the stories behind the creators and creations that shaped an American art form.

Before and after the panel on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 2:30-3:30pm and 5:30-6:30pm, Joe Simon will be appearing at Titan's booth to sign exclusive printed lithographs for fans. Two designs will be available, one featuring the iconic Fighting American and the other starring the perennially seductive The Girl Who Tempted Me. With each one hand-numbered from 1 through 100 and signed by Joe Simon himself, these glorious limited edition lithographs will be on sale for $75 each and only available at NYCC.

'Watchmen: Portrait of a Film' [Sunday, Feb. 8, 1:30-2:30] features stunning new imagery from the set of the Watchmen movie by Enos. Guiding the audience through some of the most intriguing aspects of capturing the movie in production, Enos will be joined by Watchmen co-creator Dave Gibbons, to discuss his take on the movie and reveal the history of the pivotal work. Presented by Entertainment Weekly star writer and comics guru Steve Daly, and Sarah Rozen, photo editor for a host of America's leading titles including Entertainment Weekly, Women's Health, Newsweek and People, this is a unique opportunity to see some of the extraordinary behind-the-scenes shots that celebrate the making of the much anticipated movie.

Clay Enos will also be appearing at Titan's booth from 3-4pm on Sunday, Feb. 8, to sign copies of his stunning book, Watchmen: Portraits. This large-format hardback presents the cast and crew of the movie in a series of powerful and beautiful black-and-white portrait photographs. From Rorschach and the Comedian to Knot Top extras, from Zack Snyder to delivery guys and catering staff, this collection presents in a new light those who worked to bring Watchmen to the silver screen.

Following Enos, Dave Gibbons will be at Titan's booth from 4-5pm on Sunday, Feb. 8, to sign copies of his stunning art book, Watching the Watchmen, which explores the genesis of the graphic novel through plethora of original character designs, sketches and much more, including posters, covers and rare portfolio art.

Also featured on the Titan Booth 1514, will be a new definitive illustrated history of modelling/movie effects industry leader Gentle Giant, a slew of Terminator Salvation titles based on the major movie releasing May, and other superb illustrated tomes sure to capture the interest of the thousands of fans.
