Wireless News Desk European Tier 1 Operator Chooses ComAbility for Subscriber Management
Broadband data project’s initial stage will support several million subscribers
Jan. 28, 2009 04:00 PM
The neXus platform will enable the operator to automate subscriber and service provisioning, tracking, and troubleshooting, and introduce centralized management to the Cisco subscriber-aware Service Control Engine (SCE). neXus automates and simplifies the deployment and operation of policy control. A branded, self-care portal will allow subscribers to choose their own service options, including self registration and speed control via a turbo button to temporarily increase bandwidth for movies or similar activities. The neXus solution also provides the operator to apply admission control via a captive, walled garden, redirecting unauthorized users to a portal that offers fee-based, premium access. High availability for Cisco Intelligent Services Gateway (ISG) per-subscriber aggregation is assured, using neXus's external, persistent AAA database repository for subscriber and services continuity in failovers or other events. Subscribers remain unaware of any disruptions, continuing to work as usual without re-logins. Reader Feedback: Page 1 of 1
