Jan. 30, 2009 07:00 AM
Lenovo has acquired Seattle-based start-up Switchbox Labs Inc for some undisclosed sum, and that Switchbox co-founders Michael Sievert, Robert Dickinson and Blake Ramsdell will join Lenovo.
Sievert, an ex-Microsoft VP who also did stints at AT&T Wireless and E* TRADE Financial, will be a Lenovo senior VP and report to CEO William Amelio.
Switchbox was focused on developing new consumer technologies that Lenovo said are "confidential," but will continue under its ownership and be integrated into Lenovo products down the road.
