NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 03/10/09 -- Grammy-Award nominated accredited songwriter/producer and "American Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi makes her music video debut in Theory of A Deadman's hit tune "Not Meant To Be." DioGuardi, who co-wrote the song with the band's frontman Tyler Connolly, skillfully plays the female lead in a tale of a romance on the rocks.

The video, which was directed by Tony Petrossian (Stone Sour, Seether, Taking Back Sunday, Avenged Sevenfold, DMX), filmed last month in Los Angeles as Theory was gearing up to hit the road with Mötley Crüe.

DioGuardi comments, "The best part about my job is that you never know who you are going to meet, and who's going to inspire you. Although I'd never worked with Tyler, when he started singing the song, I knew we were onto something special. I am thrilled he asked me to be a part of the video."
