MEMPHIS, Tenn., April 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Duncan-Williams, Inc. announces the hiring of Greg Smith as a Managing Director in its Equity Capital Markets Group. Mr. Smith is a seasoned equity research professional and will play an instrumental role in expanding Duncan-Williams equity business through the coverage of payment and financial processing companies.

Mr. Smith's coverage universe will form a key vertical for Duncan-Williams. "We are very excited to announce Greg's hiring. Mr. Smith most recently served as a Senior Director at Merrill Lynch following Computer Services and IT Consulting Companies. At Merrill Lynch, Mr. Smith provided lead coverage of over twenty companies spanning across payment processors, financial processors, payroll processors, IT consultants and outsourcers, and other technology companies. In addition, he managed a team of junior analysts covering over ten additional companies.

Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Mr. Smith was a Senior Analyst at J.P. Morgan and Hambrecht & Quist.
