Nokia Looks to OSS for Phone Browser
To Run on Symbian OS, Incorporate Apple Safari Elements

Nokia Corp. will have a new browser for its Series 60 mobile phones, running on Symbian OS and integrating elements from the Apple Safari browser that runs on Mac OS X.
Components will be based on KHTML and KJS, from the open source Konqueror Web browser, which runs on the open-source K Desktop Environment for Linux OS.
Nokia has said that about half of the traffic generated by users of its phones comes from Web surfing. It said it will ship the open-source browser during the first half o of next year.
